Capabilities:
The South Bend division features a permanent asphalt plant for a wide range of street, highway and parking lot asphalt paving projects. The location also has a sand and gravel mining operation for supplying its own material needs and those of many local contractors. A portable concrete plant provides top flexibility for large concrete paving projects. The South Bend operation has slipform curb and gutter pavers for subdivision, city and county work. These slipform pavers are also used for construction of permanent barrier walls on highways. Additionally, we recycle asphalt and concrete. Recycled asphalt is reinserted in asphalt mix in the plant; recycled concrete and asphalt are also sold for use as sub-base on paving projects. In addition to supplying materials and paving services, the division also handles grading, earthmoving, and other site preparation services for developers. We also handle sanitary and storm sewer construction and water main installation.
